UPDATE – JANUARY 2024
Despite good wind resource and support from local community members, Neoen has decided to withdraw its plans for the Alectown Wind Farm project. This means that we will not be building this project.
Results from the preliminary biodiversity survey and issues with grid connection are the main reasons for this decision. We cannot develop this project without causing significant negative impacts on biodiversity or hurting the project’s financial viability. We have therefore decided to let the project go.
